Epicenter regularly hosts AmeriCorps VISTA year-long positions. Similar to the Peace Corps but domestically based, AmeriCorps VISTA members are full-time government volunteers hosted by various organizations around the country focused on eliminating poverty in America. VISTA members work on capacity building—creating and expanding the necessary structures and networks an organization needs to get its work done. Epicenter got started with VISTA, and subsequent VISTA members have worked to expand each of our programs. We typically recruit for VISTAs annually from March-June.
