Fix It First Blitz

Yesterday was day one of a week long Fix it First blitz here in Green River. Epicenter was joined by a Lutheran group from Park City to complete the project. Together the team installed two full windows and replaced two window panes. These upgrades will improve energy efficiency and natural ventilation capabilities of the home.

“This was a community that I’ve heard a lot about — the watermelons and my uncle comes down here a lot — but I’ve never been to,” said Lindsay, a volunteer who will be a college senior this fall in Santa Clara, California. “I painted all of the trim, and I helped take out the far right window. And miscellaneous tasks here and there, like holding ladders while people climb on them, and helping to make sure things were even and level….This is fun to be a part of. It’s nice that we got the chance to come down and be included in the work that Epicenter does.”

We will be providing updates all week as we tackle more Fix it First projects. Thank you Park City Lutherans for your support! This project is made possible through a privately-sourced grant provided generously by Bike & Build.
