United Way Day of Caring 2012

Volunteers Pouring Concrete

The United Way Day of Caring was such a huge success that September 28 – October 28 was deemed World Habitat Month (in Green River)!!! We worked on the Green River Habitat for Humanity house for over 58 volunteer hours with a total of 22 volunteers! A concrete pad for the front steps was poured, weeds were pulled, and a retaining wall on the north side was built.

Vounteers Pulling Weeds

Thank you to all of our volunteers who showed up and helped out! The Habitat House is moving along nicely and should be done by mid December. We would also like to thank the Melon Vine Food Store for donating water and the Tamarisk Restaurant for donating ice. The Green River Community Center also helped us out by providing snacks for the volunteers. If you are in town please support our proud donors. Also, if you would like to help complete the house just call the Epicenter at 435.564.3330 and ask for Armando or Jack.
