We are very pleased to share that we are one of the 159 awardees of the 2019 AARP Community Challenge Grant program from AARP Livable Communities and AARP Utah! The awardees of this “quick action” grant program come from every state Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Through this grant we will conduct outreach to the aging community through our soon-to-be-established Housing Committee (including monthly meetings to discuss the appropriate site, design, and amenities); compile the collected information so that other organizations, developers, etc. can easily access the results and construct senior housing; and design the second Frontier House model with a focus on accessible, maintenance-free housing.
