Epicenter had a blast at our first BIG FEED! The BIG FEED is an annual event held on the High Plains of Colorado by M12. It is a celebration of the regional landscape, experimental art and architecture, food, music, culture and community. This regional social helps connect rural community members with artists from around the world in a casual atmosphere. The event also builds opportunity for the larger public to learn more about the ground-breaking work presented by rural citizens, creatives, and cultural producers. Landing somewhere between a family reunion, potluck dinner, symposium, and festival, The BIG FEED is held the second weekend in October every year. This year’s BIG FEED was almost spoiled by rain Saturday morning and afternoon, but eventually the sun came out. Some of our favorite moments from the event include DJ Rockcrusher spinning Country and Western 78s, beer tasting by Lefthand Brewery, Cody & Chris Hall presenting their family’s racing history, Jeff Himpele’s presentation of his upcoming documentary about the steel guitar, the recent work of Ted Purves, and the live music dance party featuring Ethyl & the Regulars and 4H Royalty. Thanks for the great time, M12!
