Jason Wheeler, Executive Director, ASSIST Inc. Community Design Center
Maria Sykes, Executive Director, Epicenter

The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next Newsmaker Breakfast, a monthly event highlighting important issues impacting Utahns.

Starting October 7, designers, business professionals, and students will gather for Salt Lake Design Week to celebrate the impact of all design in Utah and collaborate on the latest innovations that are aimed at addressing the state’s housing needs. As housing affordability remains a critical issue for Utahns, the October 2024 Newsmaker Breakfast will highlight the importance of new and creative design work in creating affordable housing units in both urban and rural areas of the state.

Join state policy leaders and housing experts for a discussion on the latest efforts to address Utah’s housing affordability crisis and how innovative design work is helping create new and cutting-edge ways to promote affordable development across the state.

The conversation will be moderated by Gardner Institute director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.
