By offering a low-interest micro loan, our Fix It First (FIF) program helps households perform minor home repairs that would normally be a financial burden. We assist households with minor problems (e.g. roof leak) before they become big problems (e.g. roof collapse). Dealing with the issues early saves time and money for the homeowners. Along with the loan, FIF will see the project through from initial inspection to material pricing, volunteer coordination, volunteer management, sub-contractor coordination, and to the post-construction inspection. FIF can provide assistance with minor roof repairs, siding repair, french drain installation, and housing rehabilitation consultation. Along with home repairs, FIF can aid the elderly and/or physically handicapped by providing accessibility rehabilitations, allowing people to live their lives with a sense of independence. The Fix It First Program provides homeowners with an affordable solution to make their home a better, safer place to live with their families and friends.
The FIF program is funded by Bike & Build, Inc., and is an approved City of Green River Housing Plan component. If we are unable to assist you through FIF, we will gladly refer you to similar programs such as the Southeastern Utah Association of Local Government’s Weatherization program or Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country’s A Brush With Kindness program.
