Epicenter is pleased to announce that we are the recipients of support from:

  • WESTAF – $20,000
  • Utah Arts & Museums – $5,000
  • Utah Humanities – $5,000

WESTAF CARES Relief Fund for Organizations is a competitive grant program supported by the National Endowment for the Arts through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed by Congress and signed into law in March 2020. The WESTAF CARES Relief Fund has provided general operating support to 45 eligible arts and culture organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications were assessed on the following criteria: inclusivity, demonstrated need, artistic and cultural merit, and public and community benefit. Awards of up to $20,000 were made to organizations across the WESTAF 13-state region with at least one grant awarded per state.

Utah Humanities is providing emergency funding for Utah-based not-for-profit and cultural organizations that provide humanities programming. Funding for these grants has been provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act economic stabilization plan.

The Utah Division of Arts & Museums has made emergency funding available for Utah-based individual artists/creative workers and Utah-based nonprofit arts organizations. Funding for these grants has been provided by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act economic stabilization plan.

These funds will help support Epicenter’s work in the arts, design, and humanities for the next quarter. Without this support, we would have had to cut back on our programming and possibly even furlough employees due to a loss in revenue from expected sources.

Thank you to the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for Humanities, WESTAF, Utah Division of Arts & Museums, and Utah Humanities for this critical support!
