The CHEER Coalition begins their second annual Free Movies in the Park program on Friday!!!
The movies are free to the public and are screened in the City Park (aka “O.K. Anderson Park,” located on Main Street between North Clark and Solomon Streets). Bring your own blankets and chairs. Soda and popcorn are available for sale, which goes towards funding the movies. CHEER has chosen an excellent line-up, and we’re very excited! Here’s this year’s schedule (all times approximated because the movies “begin at dusk”):
Brave (2012) — Friday, April 5th at 7:15pm
Rio Bravo (1959) — Friday, May 3rd at 7:45pm
How to Train Your Dragon (2010) — Friday, June 7th at 8:15pm
High Noon (1952) — Friday, July 5th at 8:15pm
Here Comes the Boom (2012) — Friday, August 2nd at 7:45pm
McLintock (1963) — Friday, September 6th at 7:315pm
Wreck It Ralph (2012) — Thursday, September 19th at 6:45pm
Jumanji (1995) — Friday, October 4th at 6:30pm
FYI: For all of you Friday Footballers. Whenever there is a CHEER movie on Friday, Flag Football in the Park will move to Saturday evening. Call Alex for more details about flag football at 714-4243.
Epicenter supports CHEER’s efforts to create recreation and education opportunities for all ages in Green River, especially our youth. We even volunteer our time for them! We help coordinate this Movies in the Park program, and we contribute our Frontier Fellows to their after school program when applicable. See you at the movies!
